Physical Performance Assessment
Exercise Test with Gas Analysis VO₂max
A physical exercise test that measures how much oxygen the body can utilize during physical exertion (VO₂max). The test helps assess overall physical capacity as well as the function of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. More about the test →
Who is it for?
- • Athletes and physically active individuals
- • Those who want to define training zones and optimize workload
- • People seeking to assess fitness and endurance
- • In cases of shortness of breath or suspected cardio-respiratory issues
- • For patients with heart conditions when determining safe exercise intensity
What does it show?
- VO₂max – maximal oxygen consumption
- Aerobic and anaerobic thresholds
- Maximum heart rate
- Individual heart rate training zones
- Cardio-respiratory response during exercise
How is it performed?
The participant cycles on an ergometer or runs on a treadmill with gradually increasing intensity. Breathing, heart function, and blood pressure are continuously monitored. The test ends when maximal capacity is reached or if medically indicated.
